These tests are for travel outbound from the UK. Customers should check with their travel providers and check the rules for entry to the country they are travelling to. There are two test types in this section, RT-PCR tests and Rapid Antigen test. Again, customers must check which tests are accepted by travel providers and country of arrival. Not all countries accept Rapid Antigen tests.
‘Nextday’ results definition – Results are issued to the email that the customer specifies whilst purchasing the test (registered email) and confirms when either having the test in clinic or performing the test by self swabbing, by midnight the day after the sample is taken. In the case of self swab tests where the customer has elected to receive this at home and post back, the results will be issued the day after the sample is received back to our clinic and a result provided to the customers registered email anytime before midnight. We recommend that your travel date should be the day after you receive your result.
Rapid Antigen results are usually delivered within 1-3 hours.
For customers who take their own sample at home and post back, they are required to note the royal mail tracking reference which usually begins ‘ZD’ and ends ‘GB’ and use the Royal Mail tracking system to check when their sample is delivered back to the clinic. Please follow the instructions in the kit which is posted to you.
‘Sameday’ results definition – These are not available for self swab / home kits . These are in clinic appointments only. Results are issued to the email that the customer specifies whilst purchasing the test (registered email) and confirms when having the test, by midnight* on the same day that the sample is taken. We recommend that your travel date should be the day after you receive your result.
*Our laboratory(ies) will do endeavor to deliver before midnight but in a very small number of instances you may receive your results a short time after midnight up to 2am. This occurs very rarely.
